Phantom Planet

Phantom Planet occupies a unique position in the early 2000s alternative landscape, serving as a bridge between the polished power-pop of the era and a more authentic garage-rock revival. Formed in Los Angeles in 1994, the band’s early identity was partially defined by the presence of founding drummer Jason Schwartzman, though they quickly established a musical reputation that transcended celebrity associations. Their breakthrough came with 2002's 'The Guest,' an album that perfected a sun-drenched, piano-led indie pop sound.
