Quantize, the Israeli duo of Reshef Harari and Adi Ashkenazi, represents a pivotal era in the evolution of progressive psytrance. Emerging from the fertile Israeli trance scene in 2003, they moved from early experiments to a highly refined 'pumping and crunchy' sound that caught the attention of the prestigious Iboga Records.

Their sound identity is defined by a rigorous production ethic, utilizing high-end studio gear to achieve a level of digital clarity that was groundbreaking for the mid-2000s. While many of their peers leaned into either pure psychedelic chaos or minimal techno, Quantize found a middle ground: the 'Progressive' label. This meant longer track structures, evolving melodic motifs, and a focus on the 'groove' over the 'glitch.' Their work on labels like Domo and Iboga helped codify the aesthetic of the 135-140 BPM progressive sound, influencing a generation of producers who sought to bring high-fidelity production values to the outdoor festival environment.
