Robert Lippok

Robert Lippok is a central figure in the German electronic avant-garde, emerging from the vibrant East Berlin underground of the 1980s. As a co-founder of Ornament und Verbrechen and later the influential trio To Rococo Rot, Lippok helped define a specific European aesthetic that merged post-punk sensibilities with digital minimalism.

His solo work, particularly on the Raster-Noton label, represents the pinnacle of 'glitch' as a formal language, where digital errors and micro-samples are elevated to high art.
