Sear Bliss

Sear Bliss is a cornerstone of the Hungarian extreme metal scene, founded in 1993 by András Nagy. They are most notable for their pioneering integration of brass instruments, specifically the trombone and trumpet, into a black metal framework.

Unlike their symphonic peers who rely on keyboards for orchestral scale, Sear Bliss utilizes these wind instruments to create a more organic, earthy, and melancholic atmosphere. Their career arc is defined by a consistent refusal to follow trends, moving from the raw, pagan-influenced 'Phantoms' to the more polished and complex 'The Arcane Odyssey'.
