Stage Dolls

Formed in 1983 in Melhus, Norway, Stage Dolls are pillars of the Scandinavian melodic rock scene. Led by guitarist/vocalist Torstein Flakne (formerly of The Kids), the band successfully bridged the gap between European hard rock and the American AOR market. Their sound is characterized by high-production values, often attributed to their long-standing collaboration with producer Bjørn Nessjø at Nidaros Studios. This partnership resulted in an 'authentic American sound' that helped them break into the US Billboard charts in the late 1980s, a rare feat for Norwegian acts of that era.
