Formed in London during 1980, Tank emerged as a significant act within the new wave of British heavy metal movement. The group gained recognition for their raw, punk-influenced sound and trio format. Following the death of founder Algy Ward in 2023, the band's legacy continues through multiple iterations, including a version led by guitarists Mick Tucker and Cliff Evans, and featuring vocalist Doogie White.
