Tei Shi is the stage name of Colombian-Canadian singer, songwriter, and producer Valerie Teicher Barbosa. Based in New York City, she creates indie pop music, debuting in 2013 with the EP Saudade. Following early performances and collaborations with Glass Animals, she released her second EP, Verde, in 2015. Her discography includes two studio albums, Crawl Space and La Linda, alongside the 2020 EP Die 4 Ur Love.
