Their debut album, 'Not Accepted Anywhere' (2006), achieved platinum status, propelled by the massive cultural footprint of the single 'Monster.' The band's early era was defined by Alex Pennie's prominent synthesizers and distinctive high-pitched screaming, a feature that polarized critics but became a signature element of their brand. Following Pennie's departure, the addition of Paul Mullen (formerly of Yourcodenameis:milo) shifted the band toward a heavier, more guitar-centric alternative rock sound on 'This Is a Fix' (2008).
