Shimmering surf-pop melodies masking a deep, hollow ache. Reverb-heavy indie rock for dancing through the loneliness of a long, fading summer.
Formed in Brooklyn in 2006, The Drums is an American indie rock project currently led by Jonathan Pierce. Originally established by Pierce and Jacob Graham under the name Goat Explosion, the group expanded to include Adam Kessler and Connor Hanwick before undergoing several lineup changes. Following Graham's departure in 2016, the band transitioned into a solo project under Pierce, who continues to release music through Island Records.
