V/Z

V/Z is a collaborative project between percussionist Valentina Magaletti and multi-instrumentalist Susumu Mukai (Zongamin), both known for their work in the psych-pop outfit Vanishing Twin. Formed in London, the duo represents a distillation of their most experimental impulses, stripping away pop structures in favor of a skeletal, dub-wise aesthetic.

Their sound identity is built on the interplay between Magaletti’s highly technical, often unconventional percussion and Mukai’s deep, rhythmic bass foundations.
