Warmen

Warmen began as the creative outlet for Janne Wirman, the legendary keyboardist of Children of Bodom. Initially conceived as a neoclassical instrumental project, the band's early work on 'Unknown Soldier' and 'Beyond Abilities' helped define the 'Finnish sound' of the early 2000s, characterized by high-speed synth-guitar duels and classical harmonic structures.

Over time, the project evolved into a more collaborative entity, featuring a revolving door of elite Finnish vocalists such as Timo Kotipelto and Kimberly Goss. Culturally, Warmen occupies a unique space as both a 'musician's band' and a source of high-energy entertainment, known for their technical covers of 80s pop hits. Following the dissolution of Children of Bodom and the passing of Alexi Laiho, Warmen shifted into a full-time band configuration in 2023 with the addition of Petri Lindroos (Ensiferum), leaning harder into melodic death metal. This transition has solidified their role as the torchbearers for the aggressive yet melodic keyboard-driven metal scene in Finland.
