WOS

Aggressive freestyle energy meets the roar of Argentine rock. Intense, socially conscious rap that feels like a riot and a confession happening at the same time.

Intro

WOS sounds like the intersection of a high-stakes freestyle battle and a sold-out stadium rock show. His music carries the grit of the Buenos Aires streets, blending sharp, rhythmic rap delivery with the heavy, distorted textures of alternative rock. It is music that demands your attention, characterized by explosive percussion and guitars that feel as urgent as the lyrics they support.

What truly sets him apart is his ability to pivot from raw, political aggression to deeply vulnerable, existential reflection. While many of his peers lean into the polished sounds of trap or reggaeton, WOS maintains a live-band aesthetic that feels organic and dangerous. His voice often carries a raspy, strained quality that suggests he is leaving everything on the track, bridging the gap between hip-hop and the legendary 'Rock Nacional' tradition of Argentina.

Start with 'Canguro' for a masterclass in political defiance and infectious groove, then move to 'Arrancármelo' to hear his softer, more acoustic side. For those who want the full sonic assault, 'Púrpura' showcases the high-octane energy that made him a freestyle legend before he ever released a studio album.

Valentín Oliva (born 23 January 1998), professionally known as Wos (stylized as WOS), is an Argentine singer, actor, and freestyler. Starting as a freestyler, he won the Argentine competition of freestyle battle El Quinto Escalón on several occasions, achieving national recognition. He also won the FMS Argentina and the international tournament Red Bull Batalla de Gallos, both in 2018. Following his success in freestyle battles, he decided to pursue a musical career. In 2018, he released his first single "Púrpura" while in 2019 he released his debut studio album Caravana. He has won several Gardel Awards and received a nomination for Best New Artist at the 21st Annual Latin Grammy Awards in 2020.
