Formed in Edinburgh in 2008, the United Kingdom-based group Young Fathers crafts progressive hip-hop. The band has garnered significant acclaim, securing three Scottish Album of the Year Awards and a Mercury Prize for their debut studio release, Dead. Signed to labels Big Dada and Ninja Tune, the trio maintains a prolific output, including their 2023 album Heavy Heavy and a 2025 soundtrack contribution for the horror film 28 Years Later.
