BBNG2

Released in 2012, BBNG2 is the second full-length project from the Toronto-based trio BADBADNOTGOOD. Recorded in a single marathon ten-hour session at Revolution Recording, the album serves as a manifesto for their 'post-bop meets hip-hop' aesthetic. While their debut established the concept, BBNG2 refined the execution, featuring a mix of original compositions like 'Vices' and 'CHSTR' alongside transformative covers of artists like Earl Sweatshirt, My Bloody Valentine, and Flying Lotus. The inclusion of Leland Whitty on saxophone adds a melodic depth that would eventually lead to him becoming a permanent member. Critically, the album was a viral sensation, bridging the gap between jazz purists and the burgeoning 'internet rap' scene.
