Greed Killing

Released in late 1995, Greed Killing served as a precursor to the full-length album Diatribes. It marked a significant sonic shift for Napalm Death, moving away from the pure, high-velocity grindcore of their early years toward a style often labeled as 'groove metal' or 'industrial death metal.' This era was characterized by a more structured songwriting approach, cleaner production, and a focus on rhythmic hooks. The title track remains one of the band's most recognizable songs from the 90s, featuring a vocal delivery that is almost melodic in its cadence while remaining firmly rooted in metal. The EP also includes several non-album tracks and alternate versions that showcase the band's willingness to experiment with tempo and texture.
