Released in late 2016, One is the debut EP from the anonymous British collective Sleep Token, marking the first appearance of the deity-worshipping mythos surrounding the character Vessel. Sonically, it established the 'Sleep Token sound' before it became a viral phenomenon: a seamless blend of technical djent-adjacent metal, indie-pop sensibilities, and soulful vocals. The EP is structured uniquely, featuring three core tracks followed by three 'piano versions' that highlight the artist's roots in classical and contemporary songwriting.
