Released in 2003, Sumerian Daemons represents a pivotal moment in Septicflesh's discography, serving as their sixth studio album and their final statement before a four-year hiatus. Recorded at Fredman Studios, the album saw the band refining their signature blend of death metal and symphonic elements, but with a notably harsher, more industrialized edge than previous efforts like 'Revolution DNA'.
