The Dethalbum

Released in 2007, The Dethalbum is the debut studio recording of the fictional band Dethklok from the Adult Swim series Metalocalypse. Created by Brendon Small and Gene Hoglan, the album transitioned the show's short musical snippets into full-length compositions. Sonically, it is rooted in melodic death metal, characterized by the 'Gothenburg sound' but infused with American thrash and progressive elements. Upon release, it became the highest-charting death metal album in Billboard history, peaking at number 21.
