Cirith Gorgor

Formed in 1993, Cirith Gorgor stands as one of the most enduring pillars of the Dutch black metal scene. Taking their name from Tolkien's 'Haunted Pass,' the band's identity is inextricably linked to a sense of dark, epic fantasy and grim reality.

Their sound evolved from the raw, melodic-leaning black metal of the late 90s into a more sophisticated and technically demanding style in the 2010s.
