Depths of Hatred

Depths of Hatred is a Canadian deathcore quintet formed in Montreal in 2009. They emerged during the second wave of the deathcore movement, distinguishing themselves through a fusion of technical death metal proficiency and the rhythmic 'slam' elements of the genre.

Their early work, such as 'Aversionist', established them as purveyors of high-speed, blast-beat-driven aggression, while later releases like 'Inheritance' (2021) showcased a shift toward more melodic and atmospheric textures, incorporating clean vocal layers and progressive song structures. Critically, they are noted for their high production standards and the ability to maintain clarity within extremely dense arrangements. They occupy a cultural space alongside the 'technical deathcore' elite, bridging the gap between the raw intensity of the 2010s scene and the more polished, compositionally complex modern era of heavy music.
