Drowning Pool

Drowning Pool emerged from Dallas, Texas, as a pivotal force in the second wave of nu metal. Their 2001 debut, Sinner, achieved platinum status within weeks, propelled by the massive success of the single 'Bodies.'

J. Pierce, bassist Stevie Benton, and drummer Mike Luce, who provide a consistent instrumental backbone of syncopated, drop-tuned riffs and aggressive grooves. The band's history is tragically marked by the 2002 death of original vocalist Dave Williams, an event that led to a series of frontmen including Jason Jones, Ryan McCombs, and Jasen Moreno.
