Aggressive Australian thrash metal defined by galloping riffs and snarling vocals. High-octane energy for when you need to blow off steam or hit a new personal best.
Fury is an Australian thrash metal band formed in 1993 in Broken Hill, later relocating to Adelaide. They represent a significant chapter in the Australian underground metal scene of the 1990s and early 2000s.
Their sound identity is rooted in the high-velocity traditions of Bay Area thrash but infused with a darker, more aggressive edge reminiscent of the Teutonic scene. A notable aspect of their history is guitarist Ricky Boon, who performed despite being blind due to Retinitis Pigmentosa. The band gained international visibility through several tribute compilations on Dwell Records, covering foundational acts like Megadeth and Death. Due to naming conflicts, they were briefly known as The Harrowed in the European market. Their career arc saw them evolve from pure thrash into more complex, groove-heavy arrangements before going on an indefinite hiatus in the mid-2000s. They remain a cult favorite among collectors of regional thrash and Australian heavy music history.
