Psychopomps are a seminal Danish electro-industrial duo consisting of Jesper Schmidt and Flemming Norre Larsen. Formed in 1990, they became a cornerstone of the Zoth Ommog and Cleopatra Records rosters during the industrial boom of the early-to-mid 1990s.
Their sound identity is inextricably linked to the 'Danish Industrial' sound, largely due to their close collaboration with Claus Larsen of Leæther Strip, who produced their early seminal works at Strip Studios. This relationship resulted in a shared aesthetic of aggressive, distorted vocals and high-BPM electronic body music (EBM) structures.
