Formed in 1991 in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, Skank was an influential alternative rock band. The group, featuring Samuel Rosa, Henrique Portugal, Haroldo Ferretti, and Lelo Zaneti, evolved from blending ska, reggae, and dancehall into a sound inspired by Britpop and Clube da Esquina. Signed to Epic Records, the quartet achieved significant commercial success, selling over five million albums before performing their final concert at Mineirão in March 2023.
