Thy Disease

Thy Disease is a cornerstone of the Polish industrial death metal scene, formed in Kraków in 1999. Emerging from a fertile underground that produced acts like Sceptic and Vader, they quickly distinguished themselves by incorporating heavy electronic and synth elements into a traditional death metal framework.

Their sound identity is defined by high-production values, 'cold' digital textures, and a lyrical focus on nihilism and transhumanism. Over a career spanning two decades, they have evolved from a more melodic, keyboard-heavy debut to a leaner, more aggressive 'cyber-metal' sound. Critically, they are recognized for their technical proficiency and for being one of the few bands to successfully bridge the gap between the rigid structures of death metal and the atmospheric flexibility of industrial music. They occupy a unique cultural position as veterans of the Polish scene who have maintained a consistent aesthetic of mechanical extremity, influencing a niche of 'technological' extreme metal.
