Silver Pony

Released in 2010, Silver Pony represents a pivotal moment in Cassandra Wilson’s late-career discography, functioning as a hybrid live-studio project. Produced by Wilson and John Fischbach, the album was primarily recorded at Piety Street Recording in New Orleans, but its DNA is composed of live recordings from her 2010 European tour (Warsaw, Seville, and Granada). This approach allowed Wilson to capture the 'genesis' of musical ideas on stage and then refine or expand them in the studio environment.
