The Ride Majestic is the tenth studio album by Soilwork, representing a culmination of the 'progressive melodic death' style they began refining on the previous double album, The Living Infinite. Recorded at Fascination Street Studios with Jens Bogren handling the mix, the album features a notably dark thematic core, influenced by the passing of family members during the writing process. This personal grief manifests in a more somber, melancholic tone than their earlier, more 'mechanical' works.
