Majesty

Majesty is a German power metal institution formed in 1997 by Tarek 'MS' Maghary. Emerging during the late-90s revival of traditional metal, the band positioned themselves as the spiritual successors to the 'True Metal' movement pioneered by Manowar.

Their sound identity is defined by mid-to-fast tempo galloping rhythms, anthemic songwriting, and a focus on mythological and rebellious lyrical themes. A significant turning point in their sonic evolution occurred with the album 'Hellforces', produced by Stefan Kaufmann (ex-Accept), which solidified their reputation for a punchy, teutonic drum sound and high-fidelity production. Despite a brief period under the name Metalforce, the band returned to the Majesty moniker to continue their legacy of stadium-ready anthems. They occupy a specific niche in the European metal scene, favored by traditionalists who reject the 'over-symphonization' of modern power metal. Their influence is most felt in the 'True Metal' sub-culture, where they are regarded as defenders of the genre's foundational tropes.
