Zen Lemonade is the collaborative project of Australian producer Gus Till and Japanese artist Super Cozi. Formed in 2000, the duo represents a unique synthesis of the global psychedelic trance and downtempo scenes.
Both artists transitioned from punk backgrounds into electronic music, a trajectory that informs the rhythmic urgency and experimental edge of their work. Their sound identity is defined by a 'fusion' approach, blending the high-fidelity production of progressive trance with the spatial awareness of dub and the textural richness of ambient music. A significant shift in their sound occurred after relocating to Bali in 2002, where the local Hindu-animist culture and Gamelan traditions began to permeate their compositions, leading to a more organic and spiritually resonant aesthetic. Critically, they are associated with the legendary Dragonfly label and are considered key figures in the 'psychill' and 'loungecore' movements.
